Only one special class can be active at a time, and putting more Memory Points into a third discipline can change the active special class.
So for example, having 10 points in Elementalism and Sinistrope will grant you the Black Mage class, but then putting 11 points into Keeper will change your class from Black Mage to Dark Keeper instead.
The prompt to change classes will appear after you exit the meditation area after a few moments, giving you the option to keep your current class, or change to another class. After reaching the required skill level, you must wait for the mage's merchandise to be reset typically two days in-gameor, save, then attack the merchant and reload, before the new tomes will appear. Master-level spell tomes can only be acquired once that school's ritual spell quest has been completed. Nearly all spell tomes can also be found randomly as loot. The only spell tomes that can not be found randomly are quest-specific spell tomes those that can not be purchasedtomes added by Dawnguard or Dragonbornand master-level tomes.
The appearance of random tomes is dependent upon your character's overall level but is not related to your skill in the magic school, unlike tome purchases :. Those random loot tomes may be found in boss chests and safes. With the Merchant perk unlocked, there is a small chance that tomes are sold by blacksmiths. With the Dawnguard add-on installed, tomes can also be purchased from Morven Stroud.
Additionally several chests may contain low level tomes dependent on character level. Those may be carried by several spellcasters too:. Other than the Alteration spell Dragonhide and the Restoration spell Guardian Circle, master-level spells do not benefit from dual casting perks.
When in combat, master-level spells are tricky to use because of the time required to cast them. Furthermore while casting them, you are completely vulnerable and can be interrupted by any sort of attack. Some ways around this weakness are:.

Style: darkone wiseman. Very disappointed in Enderal. I am not trying to troll, I post this because almost everyone else loves Enderal so maybe it is worth having another opinion. I think you did a good job at continuing Skyrim, it feels just the same, looks the same, plays the same, you created more Skyrim for people who love Skyrim and if that was your intention, then you succeeded.
But personally I was hoping for something different. I think Skyrim is an incredibly boring game, very dumbed down, very simplistic, and very sedate. Sadly Enderal does nothing to fix all the shortcomings I find with Skyrim. The main problem I have with Elder Scrolls games is the combat.
I know they are supposed to be action games and not tactical RPG's, but it really shouldn't have to be so dumb. You should be able to have an action RPG that also has deep and challenging combat, and Skyrim and Enderal completely fail at that, and don't even seem to care.
The xp for doing things instead of xp for quests amounts to nothing, as does the changes to the character building. Why bother creating 3 stone pillars with upgrades on when Skyrim already had the constellations thing?
It looks the same and plays the same. Also the abilities themselves are no different to Skyrim, especially if you already played with some mods. But the combat itself is identical to Skyrim, and it is really really bad. I tried to play as a mage and every mob dies with 2 or 3 hits of whichever spell I use. Either 2 wolves run at me, or some Highwaymen, but their AI is dumb like Skyrim so they run straight at me, and I just run backwards shooting fireballs at them. I repeat this times and go through the levels, and then I just have to uninstall out of boredom.
I suppose some people will not understand me because they enjoy gameplay like this, but to me it is offensively dumb gameplay. I expected SureAI to completely revamp the way combat works in Skyrim because it is so badbut you really did nothing to change it. It is a long time since I played Nehrim, but Nehrim felt like you were doing Oblivion but better.

If you do not have a target selected, this console command enables and disables toggles all non-combat AI. When non-combat AI is disabled, NPCs characters, monsters, etc have all non-combat functions like dialogue disabled. This command clears all spell and poison effects from the target you currently have selected.
